Antipode's 2nd Summer Institute for the Geographies of Justice (SIGJ) was held in Manchester and Leeds from Mon 18 – Fri 22nd May 2009.

It was co-organised by Noel Castree (Manchester University), Paul Chatterton (University of Leeds) and Nik Heynen (University of Georgia) and featured plenaries by Geraldine Pratt (University of British Columbia), Paul Routledge (University of Glasgow), and Erik Swyngedouw (University of Manchester)

The week was a great success and responses from the participants will be posted here in due course.

Participants form the 2007 Summer Institute in Georgia, USA, wrote a collective piece which was published in Antipode in 2008. Download it here.

The 2010 Summer Institute is in the planning stage and is likely to be in North America.
